So… What kind of family photoshoot do you offer?

Oh, pretty much anything you can think of really!

I love documenting life; creating memories through images.   

This could be at home, for a newborn photoshoot, a couple session {similar to an engagement shoot}, a family photoshoot in the woods, pet photography, even equine; if they are part of your family.

My aim is to create beautiful, natural images with narrative.

Time…

How long will this take?

I would say about 45 mins to an hour is roughly the length of time for a couple or family photoshoot. However, it can be a little longer if we have to walk to a desired location, e.g in the midst of a forest etc. I would allow 2 hours if we’re in the great outdoors, just to be sure.

For Leicester dog photography / equine photography, I would say 30-45 mins, plus any walking time.

tips for photoshoots with the family…

What should we wear?

Obviously this depends on the type of photoshoot you are booking, but for all of these, I firstly advise you all to be COMFORTABLE. This is very important. If you’re not comfy, you won’t look comfy, and this will show.

Secondly, stick to your usual dress sense / style, because not only do we want you comfortable, you need to feel like yourself - this adds another layer to how you feel on the day. Aim for something you love to wear, that fits well, and makes you feel confident.

So, in a nutshell, for a wintery photoshoot with the family, wrap up warm, layers work well and allow for an open coat {more flattering darling} with lots of textures from wooly-pullies, scarves etc. On the other hand, Summer photoshoots look great with flowing, easy-breezy fabrics. Try and be mindful of the weather, you don’t to be sweating or going blue!

In terms of actual outfit, the only thing to be mindful of is clashing, so do be careful of colours and patterns. Big branding also doesn’t bode too well on photographs. However don’t worry about this too much right now, this can all be discussed prior to the day so that we really get it right for you.

However my top tips would always be:

Plain, simple colours, such as white, black, grey, tan / naturals are good & denim works well in pretty much any environment too…

{Bright colours & crazy prints do tend to distract}

What will we receive?

To keep costs down, you will receive your images via an online gallery.

You will receive your family photographs through link via email, which will take you straight to your gallery. Here you will be able to download the full sized images or smaller versions ready for social sharing.

You can usually expect 25+ high resolution images, all edited for you to print as and when you like. However, there might be more, it just depends on how well the shoot goes!
